I'm seeing spots. Beautifully arranged, wonderfully colorful spots. Karen Margolis' work, inspired by patterns that occur naturally, is all about spots. Composed in such a way that is organic and off kilter, the works remind you of something that has been grown rather than crafted. Some pieces are painted on paper, while others are holes that have been artfully punched out. Tasteful uses of color bring life to the pieces. These soft works are subtle and breathtaking. But don't take my word for it.

Interesting definitely interesting. They almost do not look like paintings.
